Around Val Gardena, the Dolomites unfold in all their variety.
The Sella massif, the Sassolungo, the Cir peaks, as well as the Puez group and the Puez-Odle Nature Park shape the valley – with clear lines and distinct transitions between meadows and rock.
Many routes begin right at the doorstep and lead into the mountains – across Alpine pastures, through forests and further up into rocky ground.
Some follow a steady incline, others are steeper, depending on the route. A stop at one of the many catered mountain huts often lies directly along the way.
Those on foot will find a dense network of hiking trails – from easy walks to longer crossings.
Via ferratas and Alpine routes lead higher up, often along the characteristic rock formations. The area also offers a wealth of bike routes to explore.
