Eye to eye with the Dolomites
The Dolomites define this landscape – with their light-coloured rock, vast Alpine pastures and clean lines. They have been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2009. Their contours shift with the light, the seasons and the angle they are viewed from. Sometimes sharply defined, sometimes soft and understated.

Summer
In summer, the Dolomites are defined by light and contrast.
Between meadows, thinning forests, and pale rock, the landscape shifts along the way.
Many routes begin right on the doorstep and lead into the mountains – via Alpine pastures and further up to rocky terrain.
Some follow a steady incline, others are steeper, depending on the route.
Winter
In Winter, life here in Val Gardena largely unfolds on skis.
The Dolomiti Superski area begins right here, with the lifts reached in just a few minutes. Runs such as the Saslong and the Sellaronda form part of an extensive network across the surrounding mountains.
At the same time, quieter ways of moving through the winter landscape remain close by – on cross-country tracks, along winter paths or beyond the prepared slopes.

Hikes in the first light of day, out and about at alpenglow, insights into craftsmanship and tradition. Each activity offers a different way to experience the region – peaceful, authentic and up close.
